This Wide Angle Ambient Light Sensor is based on BH1750 - a digital ambient light sensor with a 16 bit AD converter built-in which can directly output a digital value in lux (Lx) over a range of 1 - 65535 lx. This sensor is far more accurate and easier to use as compare to photocell which only outputs a voltage that needs to compute to obtain meaningful data.

The sensor comes with a translucent dome for wide angle sensing. An on-board 3.3V regulator allows the sensor to work with both 3.3V and 5V devices such as micro:bit and Arduino.

The sensor includes on-board pull-up resistors for the I2C bus. The ADDR pin allows you to configure the device for one of two available I2C addresses. The default address is 0x23 (35), but pulling the ADDR pin high will change the device's address to 0x5C (92). The ADDR pin's maximum voltage is 3.6V. If you don't want to change the default address then you don't need to connect anything to the ADDR pin since the module has an on-board pull-down resistor tying the ADDR pin to ground.
