SGBotic has created a series of Micro:Bit EduFun Mini Project Kits with the aim of making advance devices available to micro:bit inventors. Much efforts have been devoted to designing the makecode's Block packages to remove the complexity of using these devices, making it easier for inventors to incorporate into their projects.
The MP3 Player in this kit is your all-in-one audio solution. Containing an MP3 audio decoder chip, micro-SD card socket, and a stereo audio jack, the board can be used to give your creation a gift of music, or any other sounds you can put on a micro-SD card.
The board supports serial interface and can be powered by the micro:bit 3V supply. A makecode package containing the essential blocks like volume control, sound track selection, play, stop etc. is available to go with the board.
The projects in the printed guide will guide through the wiring as well as using the MP3 player to read out the temperature of the micro:bit when the button is pressed.
- MP3 player
- 256MB MicroSD card
- MicroSD USB adapter
- M/F jumper wires
- Printed guide
Take note that Micro:Bit, T-Expansion board and breadboard, and headphone or speaker which are used in the project are not included in this kit. Instead of T-Expansion Board, you can also use any micro:bit breakout board. The microSD card in the package has been formatted and tested to work with the MP3 player. DO NOT re-format, delete or rename the folders, just replace the sound track.
