SGBotic has created a series of micro:bit EduFun Mini Project Kits with an aim of making advance devices available to micro:bit inventors. Much efforts have been devoted to designing the MakCode blocks package to remove the complexity of using these devices, making it easier for inventors to incorporate into their projects.

This sealed digital temperature probe lets you measure temperature in wet environments with a simple 1-Wire interface. The sensor is fairly precise (±0.5°C) over much of the range and because the data is in digital, you don't get any signal degradation even over long distance.

Although the sensor is good up to 125°C, as the cable is jacketed in PVC, we suggest keeping it under 100°C.

The sensor comes with an interface board with a 4.7K resistor soldered on. It requires only one digital pin and works on 3V supply, making it ideal for your micro:bit projects. A MakeCode block package has been developed to remove the complexity of using this sensor in your project.

The printed guide will guide user in installing the MakeCode block package, connecting the sensor to the micro:bit board and creating a program to display the temperature on the LED matrix.

Take note that Micro:Bit, T-Expansion board, and breadboard which are used in the project are not included in this kit. Instead of T-Expansion Board, you can also use any micro:bit breakout board.
