This small stepper is a great way to get things moving, especially when positioning and repeatability is a concern. The stepper motor has five color-coded wires allow it to be controlled by both unipolar and bipolar stepper motor drivers. All five wires are used when connect to a unipolar stepper motor driver. When used with a bipolar stepper motor driver, the center-tap red wires can be left disconnected.

The package includes an ULN2003 stepper motor driver board that allows you to easily control the 28BYJ-48 stepper motor from a microcontroller. The driver board has a 5 wire socket where the cable from the stepper motor hooks up, 4 LEDs to indicate which coil is currently powered, an on / off jumper (keep it on to enable power to the stepper), and 2.54mm pitch pins for power and control input.

Note:

  • Plastic wheel is not included.
  • Powering the stepper from the 5V rail of the Arduino is not recommended, as the motor may drain more current than the microcontroller can handle and could potentially damage it. A separate 5-12V 1-Amp power supply or battery pack should be used.

Includes:

  • 5V stepper motor
  • ULN2003 stepper motor driver board

Features:

  • Stride Angle (degrees) : 5.625°/64
  • 4-Phase
  • Rated Voltage : 5VDC
  • Resistance/Phase: 60Ω
  • Rated Current : 83mA
  • 5mm Diameter Drive Shaft (Double D)
  • 5-Wire Cable Attached
  • Pull-In Torque : >29.4mN.m
